Join park rangers for an enlightening 1-1.5 mile hike on the Windy Moraine trail, exploring the remarkable world of animal adaptations and their winter survival strategies. This hike will help you discover how animals adapt and overcome the challenges of a Michigan winter, all while immersing yourself in the beautiful outdoors.
Preregistration is required. Plan to meet park rangers at 10 am at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center for an introduction. From here, the group will caravan to the trail location.
This trail is closed to pets from December 1 through March 31.

Free. All programs offered by the National Lakeshore are free. Participants need only purchase the park entrance pass or have an annual pass displayed in their vehicle to join in the fun.
