Butter Together at Mawby

If the bread basket is your favorite part of dinner, this is your event!

Join us on Sunday, June 14 for Butter Together, a brand-new pairing experience built around three things that never let you down: great bread, really good butter, and artisanal wine.

We pulled together a small lineup of Northern Michigan makers we genuinely love, then built the pairings around what they do best. You’ll taste breads and butters from Farm Club and 9 Bean Rows, plus a German-style rye Vollkornbrot from Martin Sorge, winner of The Great American Baking Show and a long-time FIZZ Club member. We are also excited to feature pre-orders of Martin's upcoming cookbook, Great Bakes: Modern Classic Recipes from the Midwest before its August 4, 2026 release.

Here’s how it works: you’ll start with a welcome pour, then move through three tasting stations under the MAWBY tent. Each station includes a unique bread + butter pairing, plus a 3 oz wine pour selected to match. In total, you’ll enjoy four pours featuring MAWBY and bigLITTLE wines. Additionally, Farm Club will be setting the table with locally sourced, fresh vegetables and pickled items to enjoy alongside the pairings.

Ticket holders will also receive special savings at the 9 Bean Rows storefront in Suttons Bay, because the bread obsession does not have to end when the event does. Plus, anyone who purchases during the early bird window will be entered to win a signed copy of Martin Sorge’s upcoming cookbook.

Citywide Home Mortgage Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting

Citywide Home Mortgage Expands Local Footprint with New Traverse City Office

Local team of four lenders invites the community to a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 1st.

Citywide Home Mortgage is proud to announce the opening of its new office location in Traverse City, situated at 4020 Copper View, Suite 225, Traverse City, MI 49684. While the physical office space is brand new, the team bringing it to life is deeply rooted in the community and intimately familiar with the unique dynamics of the Northern Michigan housing market.

To celebrate the milestone, Citywide Home Mortgage invites community members, local business owners, and real estate partners to join them for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 AM.

The new Copper Ridge location establishes a centralized home base for Citywide’s team of four dedicated, local mortgage lenders. By combining deep regional expertise with a modern, accessible professional space, the team is better equipped than ever to guide area residents through the home financing process.

"We might have a fresh set of keys to a new suite, but our commitment to Northern Michigan remains exactly the same," said Brayton Farr, Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. "Having a dedicated space at Copper Ridge allows our team of four local lenders to provide a seamless, face-to-face experience for our clients. We live here, we know the market, and we can’t wait to celebrate this new chapter with our neighbors at our ribbon cutting on July 1st."

The Traverse City team specializes in a comprehensive suite of loan products, including conventional mortgages, FHA, VA, USDA rural development loans, and construction financing. Whether helping first-time homebuyers catch their stride or assisting long-time residents looking to downsize or refinance, the four-lender team offers personalized, community-first service backed by Citywide’s robust national resources.

The new office is officially open and accepting appointments. Local residents and partners are encouraged to stop by on July 1st at 11:00 AM to tour the space, meet the team, and celebrate the grand opening.
