Lake Michigan Stroll

Get ready to embark on an exciting adventure that will awaken your five senses while you explore with a ranger on the shores of Lake Michigan. No matter your age, you can always use your senses to discover the captivating world that surrounds you. Join park rangers at the Otter Creek trail to uncover the wonders that await you.  This hike will be approximately 1 hour long and .5-1 mile in length. The Trailhead is near the corner of Esch and Aral roads. 

Preregistration is required. Plan to meet park rangers at 10 am at the Phillip A. Hart Visitor Center for an introduction.  From here, the group will caravan to the trail location.   

This trail is closed to pets from December 1 through March 31.

Free. All programs offered by the National Lakeshore are free. Participants need only purchase the park entrance pass or have an annual pass displayed in their vehicle to join in the fun.

Important:

Programs may be cancelled or the location may change due to snow conditions or winter temperatures.

The decision to cancel or change the location is made two hours in advance. Please call 231-326-4700, ext. 5005, for a voicemail message with the final details.

Programs should be assumed canceled if Leelanau County or Benzie County is under a "Winter Storm Warning" issued by the National Weather Service.
