Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear is celebrating 25 years of partnership with the National Park Service.

Join us for an evening of dinner and dancing with nostalgic songs of the Big Band era. The evening will take place under a tent by the big red barn at the historic Olsen Farm, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Celebrating Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear’s 25 years of partnership with the National Park and support for the future!

Young and old who love Sleeping Bear and Swing, won’t want to miss this unique evening! Let the 11-piece snappy River City Big Band from Grand Rapids escort you into another time. Toe tap or dance the night away with vintage glamour - think Charleston, Lindy Hop, Swing, or any way you want to move!

Tickets:  $60 through August 1st. After August 1, tickets are $72.

Table Tickets: Reserve your 8-person group table for family and friends for $464 available through August 1st. Only 150 tickets will be available. Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable to other persons. Price includes appetizers, catered dinner, 1 wine and 2 mocktail tickets, and admission to art auction.

All proceeds support the preservation or interpretation of the 300 historic structures in the park. Historic Sleeping Bear is a 501 c 3 organization funded by individual and corporate donations, grants, and volunteers.

Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear’s mission since 1999: “Preserving and interpreting the Historic structures, landscapes, and heritage of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.” With the support of our community near and far, Preserve has conducted over 80 preservation projects, documented countless oral history interviews, developed numerous interpretive products, publications, and experiences, and contributed a value of over 2 million dollars helping the park preserve the rich heritage of Sleeping Bear forever.

5:00 pm   Social hour Activities: Appetizers. Optional swing dance lessons; Silent art auction; sales of commemorative posters. Memorable photo ops next to vintage cars on-site.

6:00 pm      Catered dinner: Wine donated by Glen Arbor Wines.

7:15 - 9:30   Swing into the night with the Big Band

*Vintage dress optional but encouraged! From 1925- 1940 there were flapper dresses, swing dresses, hats and bow ties. Come looking dapper or dazzling. Have your memorable photo taken next to a vintage car. Prize for the best dressed!
